All American Nails

How cute are these gel polish shades. It's a shimmery blue and red gel polish... Gel Polish isn't your ordinary polish. Currently, it is done professionally on selected nail salons. It won't dry unless it has been put under a UV or LED lamp. Perfect way to describe it: it's shinier and last longer than an ordinary manicure!

Already changed the image to a better quality!

Ni Hao Ma

Ni Hao Ma in Chinese means Hello! or How are you? Late last year was my first trip to China. It was right after the spring thingy in Guangzhou where there were beautiful flowers everywhere. I am not sure of the event name but its basically when all the flowers are in bloom.

At Jianguo Hotel just right infront of the train station. The room is pretty cozy and people were warm and friendly. Had a little hard time having conversation with the people but surely they are very accommodating.
Backpacking to Guangzhou.
Lucky to be there during the Canton Fair. It was one of those big trade fairs that happens in Guangzhou. When you are opting for a distribution biz, you'll be amazed of all the items found at this fair.

The hotel is just right infront of a mall called Jusco. I noticed most of the KFC, Pizza Hut and Starbucks places are sitting right to each other. I am not sure why though. Had this Chicken and Shrimp Fillet and Orange juice at KFC. Chinese foods pretty much has this same 'taste'. I couldn't find the right words to explain it. What I mean is that you'll JUST know it's Chinese food when you taste it.

Went at this Divisoria-like Cosmetic mall called Beauty Exchange Centre. It has basically all sort of beauty accessories and stuff. From wig, salon supplies, nail cosmetics, make-up, herbal, whitening, just anything about beauty!

Got this metallic acrylic nails too. It doesn't chip off easily plus its reusable. You just really need to put on some TOP COAT to make it last longer

Here's more of Jianguo Hotel ammenities.
Try to be keen around and you'll see familiar bloopers and misspelling. :P

And more of Guangzhou's.

I have lots pf photos but prolly just that for now. So long!

American Idol Fever!

Pardon me but this is such a late post. Was browsin' on my files and thought this is worth a post.

This was during the Meet and Greet for the American Idol Concert Manila Tour held at Manila Hotel. Oh gosh! This was late last year! Was able to meet Casey, Haley, Jacob, James, Lauren, Naima, Paul, Pia, Stefano and fellow pinay Thia Megia. A bit of chitchats and photos. Cameras were restricted during the meet and greet itself so had to wait for Solar to send the photos. Heads up to J. Pecson for the invites. :)

Now that there's a new season of American Idol, who do you think gonna bag the mic?! The theme is very much different now. It's interesting to think that AI has been on the start of the reality show era, and glad to say, still standing at this year 2012. :)

P.S. Stefano is cute! <3

Fast track weekend

Because of the tremendous cheap flights and seat sales, I was able to purchase one going to Cebu. It was one of the cheapest trips I had. The expenses were just basically the round fares for cabs and all the pasalubong bought.
I am not really a fan of cinnamon, but excuse me for exempting Cinnabon. Their cinnamon breads are love. I swear it has some magic on it. While waiting at the airport, there's a Cinnabon cafe just beside Mrs. Fields at Terminal 3. :)

Cebu Pacific always has the best value for flights. You can't expect much but its one of the airlines in the country who offers seat sales from time to time.

So what's there in Cebu that you could do on a fast track weekend? Here's what I did for staying there in just 2 days (or less!).

Malls. Ayala Center Cebu. Same ambiance like Greenbelt I guess. Lots of bars and restaurants. But try not to compare prices when shopping. I believe its a bit expensive in Cebu than in Manila. I was looking for something to buy for myself when I fell inlove seeing this cute wedges in Janylin but was contemplating whether to buy it or not. In the end, I decided not to buy it and look the same style when I get back to Manila. True enough, found the same shoes at Alabang Town Center. And geez! It cost wayyyy much cheaper!
Food. Holler! So I saw a buffet Don Henricos at Ayala Center. I love Don Henricos. Hate me, but I think they got decent food on their menu. Something you would want after a good walk at the mall.

Sight seeing. There's so much to see in Cebu while just wandering the city. Here's a quick spots you may find...

The Basilica Minore Del Santo Nino
Magellan's Cross
Taoist Temple
And of course, you could never go wrong with Cebu beaches. Your flip flops, sunscreen and aviators will be your bffs! Mine is High Havs and the classic Rayban Aviators.

So much for a quick weekend getaway!

HIN Manila

Where I was last weekend.
It was B2B's Hot Import Nights at World Trade Center.
Good thing to still able to catch the VIP Party at 7pm. Traffic was bad! Thanks Nathan J for the tix!

A Before and After pic. Saw an old photo of me way back 2008 at Manila Auto Salon. Those two trucks were totally different. 2008 by far is the best carshow year (i believe). The good old days.

Escape from the City

Oh hello there lovelies! It's been a while since the last time I wrote something. It's unfortunate (I think?) that reality struck me right after college graduation and the old days of xanga and multiply are all gone now.

Early today, while randomly browsing the net for a marketing proposal I was finishing, I stumbled into this beauty blog and made me remember how I used to love writing about anything and everything. And a light bulb just flashes (or just me picturing myself like a cartoon)! I will go back to blogging and share my finds of basically just anything from beauty finds, travel, fashion, and yes... good food mi ladies.

For a good start, let me share to you this haven found on the mini-Baguio of the country, Tagaytay City. Booked a weekend at Hotel Dominique with my closest friends. It's a decent hotel located just before the Rotunda and has accommodating crew and service. I think it was the Casitas, where we stayed.

I wasn't able to take lots of photos during this weekend trip but this is basically the poolside of the hotel. They have a pretty small pool but just as good as drinking alcohol late at night while having chit chats with good friends.

And speaking of alcohol, Absolut Vodka is indeed a good buddy. Played the fun game of Pusoy Dos and Tong-its with friends. Surely a good way to laugh and get rid of that stress.

I couldn't help but share this blue green booties I bought in Beijing Road, Guangzhou during a trip I had there weeks ago. (Will be posting photos soon! I am excited to share it to you guys!) Who would believe this booties are just 40RMB. That's like 300 pesos only! Not bad. Plus, it's super comfy and makes my feet looks a bit smaller.

Anyway, i'll be back tomorrow as I have so much on my pocket to share.
